Dear Colleagues and Friends , Organizing Committee exultantly announce the Liga Medicorum Homoeopathic Internationalis (LMHI) Congress at Sirifort Auditorium Complex August Kranti Marg New Delhi, India from 1st – 4th December 2011.
Indian health care system has unique feature of medical pluralism where in time honored traditional systems are collectively recognized as AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga&Naturopathy, Unani, Sidha and Homoeopathy) are well established and widely acknowledged due to their historical and cultural significance. Homoeopathy is the second most popular medical system after Allopathy in majority of states of India.
India has achieved successful institutionalization of homoeopathy in public health with ample statutory control on education, clinicians, drug safety and control. Currently, it has more than 6000 public primary health centers, 300 thousand registered practitioners, and 186 university affiliated colleges/ hospitals (35 Govt.), wherein several million of patients seek homoeopathic treatment. The rich clinical experience can form the basis of evidence based Homeopathy. It is estimated that in 2010, the size of Homoeopathic market in India is Rs. 26 billion and its demand is growing at 25-30% every year (ASSOCHAM 2007).
The theme of the congress is “Homoeopathy for Public Health”. The congress will provide an opportunity to share the clinical experience and deliberate on latest scientific research in the field of Homoeopathic medicine.
